Wayne Borromeo, Founder & ceo
Wayne was first introduced to the outdoors when his mom forced him to go outside and to stop playing video games in the dusty cornfields of Spokane, WA. At Cal State Northridge he became an outdoor guide, taking people camping, rock climbing, canyoneering and backpacking through Yosemite, Zion, and other exceptional outdoor spaces. His goal is to make as many genuinely awesome outdoor memories as he can with the people he meets along his way.
KRISTiN ELLIS, SOCIAL media producer
Adventure has always been in Kristin’s blood. At the age of 14, Kristin found herself with a camera in hand at the iconic Yosemite National Park. It was here she fell in love with capturing moments in various landscapes to showcase the beauty and importance of protecting our wild spaces. Her travels thus far have taught her much. However, one thing is absolutely certain: she was born to create, experience, and tell stories.
Connie To, Director of Sales
Connie began at The Parks Apparel in August 2017. She loves traveling to different countries such as New Zealand and Switzerland. Some of her favorite things are enjoying a good cup of coffee, playing basketball, and going to the beach.
KIMBERLEY ESLIZA, PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE
Kimberley has been a part of The Parks Apparel Team since 2016. She started getting into camping at a young age when her parents would take her on a camping trip before the school year started. Although she loves the beautiful bays of Big Sur and Cannon Beach, she also enjoys ice cold beers at baseball games and daily sunset walks with her pup.
Amy Knight, Contributing writer
Amy is an ocean enthusiast in San Diego with a Masters of Advanced Studies in Climate Science and Policy. She is passionate about science, exploring, and staying connected to nature. When she is not teaching barre or reading memoirs about women in science, she works full time connecting scientists with the public at a biological research institute. On the weekends, she can be found attending a yoga class, diving headfirst into some waves, or indulging in a bowl of ramen.
Jessica Fernstrom, Content Manager
Jessica graduated with a degree in Marketing in 2017 and has been a part of The Parks Apparel team since the beginning of 2018. She has an obsession with ice cream, loves seeing plays, and hopes to one day have 700 cats and dogs (which in our opinion is about 695 too many).
Mecca Ray-Rouse, Content Intern
Mecca graduated in 2017 from the University of Oregon with a journalism degree, focusing on magazine writing and photography. A native to Eugene, she loves the rainy weather and everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She hopes to showcase her photography and writing skills by combining them to tell a story for lifestyle/travel or wedding magazines.
